I have had GREAT success with my county chamber of commerce. I am in Northern Virginia, Loudoun county to be exact. I have been able to network and get the word out about my business. When I stand up at a meeting to introduce myself, explain my business, the response is incredible. I now constantly run into people, telling me they heard about what I do through the chamber. In fact, when I enter a chamber mixer or meeting entertaining new or potential members, it is not uncommon for current members to point me out as "The Chef"
If anyone is just starting out in the personal chef industry, I highly recommend joinning your chamber of commerce as a way to introduce yourself and establish your business in your community. There is my 2 cents anyway! HAVE FUN, COOK OFTEN!

They can make a big difference. I'm getting my second article done this week, picture and all. It will be in the DE chamber of commerce in the monthly business journal. De chamber has 3000 members and most of them are the ones who needs our services. you just need to be persistent and convincing, be proud of your company. tell them what makes your services different from others.
