I am writing a philosophy of teaching statement as part
of an application for a position. I am curious what
others have included in their philosophy of teaching statements.
I covered four major points
*Learning is an active process that requires dialogue, practice and continuous feedbac.
*The teacher must utilize the diversity of student knowledge, skills and experiences as resource
for learning.
*Instructional activities should employ a variety of instruction and
evaluation methods and techniques to address different learning styles.
*The teacher must serve as a professional role model, not just as a content
expert.
