I`m using PCFood have been for the past 4 years,
it`s a cheap simple DOS based program that allows you
to integrate 3 different levels of recipes into your menu
items and automaticallyly updates the cost(if you keep the inventory database updated)
will cost banquets per person according to your menu specifications.
The bummer of it all as you know is building your database.
Inventory
menu(s)
recipes
But once thats done you just keep the inventory price list updated and life is way easier.

It cost me $50.00..it is an older format of management software,as I said DOS based so one problem I have had with it is alot of todays printers do not print from DOS programs anymore.
If you use this software...be sure that your printer does.
