Most of the commercial word processors have the ability to create your own dictionary to check words against. Most are just text files with a set extension.
If you do a spell check and a word comes up that is unknown to the machine, but you know its correct, just click add, and it will be added to the user dictionary. If you have a collection of cooking term just copy and paste them into your word processor , do a spell check, and as each is questioned click the add button.
I'd be happy to compile and put up a download if if there is any intererst.
