You really are sad. I have worked as a Chef Garde Manger as well as an Executive Chef for several different properties. I now am a working Food Stylist. Being a Chef and Styling are Two totally different boats. I figured Since I had trained with the former Chef of the White House that I could easily Style well I found out the hard way and have taken my lumps there is no dought. For anyone that reads this post let it be know there is nothing, nothing simular about Garde Manger and Food Styling as well as Being a Chef to compare with. Both are terrific venues for creativity, but they are two totally different worlds. Only an ignorant person would even try to compare these two. I imagine I have probably come off as arogant or conceded, but it kills me to read these type of statments with out an objective look at both worlds.
