: I'm looking for some way to get my foot in the culinary arts door.
: I'm very interested in baking and pastry, but living in Indianapolis I haven't been able
: to find anything. There's a Vocational School here, but they want an unbelieveable
: amount of money to get a two year degree. ( If I;m gonna pay that much I' just go get a Bachelor \
: Degree). I can't really move away, and I have a family to support. My question is that is there anyway of
: finding an apprenticeship? Can I go out and find a chef and see if he will teach me? Or am I just
: to far away from the Culinary culture. I could really use some advice. Thanks

I may have a close friend in Indianapolis that may assist you.
he is a french pastry chef with his own company. I am the Exec. at Loon Lake Lodge on the north in Castleton.
