I have been seriously considering entering the Western Culinary Institute to become a Pastry
Chef. I am currently 29 years old and working on a career that I find quite boring. Cooking
and baking is a passion that I have. I want to know my options after I would graduate from
the Western Culinary Institute (Pastry Program). I have a family, so money is an option. I
could survive a paycut but not a dramatic one. What is the career path of a pastry chef?
Salary after school, 2 years, 5 years. I'm just looking for estimates and preferably west coast
estimates. Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is a serious post. It's what I love to
do, I need to know because I would like to get started!
Thank You!
