I see this all the time at school. Either you are in pastries or you are in savory food. To me the question is, what do I want to do with this education once its over. For me, I want to evetually have my own resturant. If that resturant is going to serve soup, then I want to know about it. If it will serve fish, then I want to know about it. And if it will serve dessert, then I want to know about that too. All I can say is that the two are very different. Try them both and see if you cant tolerate one or the other. I love them both and will continue to satify my interest in them.
