I would strongly advise potential American cooking and pastry students to look into Canadian schools which are far less expensive(considering the exchange) and excellent as well. Although Americans are usually not aware of what is going on up North, I can assure you that the Canadian cooking scene is HUGE! We have excellent chefs and produce. I am from Montreal, which is a wonderful city for Pastry shops and restaurants. Vancouver is a great city as well! You should seriously consider this option.
