You say people in the regular kitchen have an attitude towards the pastry shop...READ what you wrote...you carry the exact same attitude towards them. It's time to catch up with the times here, we are no longer in a medieval kitchen. If you spent the same energy trying to get along with the rest of the kitchen as you do at this website..you would find things start to run much smoother when you have co-operation. The days of screaming chefs and feuds between departments are coming to an end in most modern kitchens in North America. If you were to step foot into one you would understand why!

Do you teach this attitude to your students? I certainly hope not or this is another good reason against culinary schooling.
