: If your college teaches the basics in professional cooking, save your money and take the course. After that, get a job in the industry and that is where all the learning will begin. I'm told that schools like the CIA charge about 30 thousand $. Can you imagine how long it'll take to make that amount back. In this industry! Good luck! Espesially as a novice, you work very hard and get paid peanuts. Believe me, you won't come out any less a student than someone from the CIA. So far the experience I've had with those students, I'm not impressed what so ever.( Sorry folks, but it's true). Just remember, whatever you put in, you will get out.

: Good Luck

: Well put Chef been waiting for someone to drop the ball.
