Jackie: I can totally understand where you're coming from. I am 30-years-old and just recently (this past December), I quit my job and am now attending school to become a pastry chef. Believe me, the decision was not an easy one. It probably took me 8-10 months to make that decision and feel comfortable about it. Luckily, I had the support of my family and friends . . . especially from my husband. I can honestly say that this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I know I have a long way to go yet, but I'll have so much fun getting there.

If this is your dream, you should at least give it a shot. What's the worst that could happen? Just remember, life is not a dress rehearsal, do it now!

If you haven't already, go to shawguides.com -- you can browse through all sorts of culinary schools that are available. Also, read through this whole forum online. There's a lot of useful info that could probably help you.

Best of luck to you,

Joni
