Re: Le Cordon Bleu-Paris Information???Posted by Sharon Odmann on May 14, 1998 at 09:21:15: In Reply to: Le Cordon Bleu-Paris Information??? posted by Dane on May 12, 1998 at 04:45:00: : I am putting some serious thought into going to school at Le Cordon Bleu- Paris Campus LOL! Campus? No campus. Le Cordon Bleu is in a row home. It is not fancy. It is the mecca of all culinary people. I took a class there one year ago today. It Le Cordon Bleu....go for it. An apartment is about $1,000/US a month. You can eat cheaply, though. :and what job opportunities there are for an American who is just learning French!?!? This I can't answer, but will be eager to read what anyone else says. Hubby and I plan on packing up the tent and moving to France in 2001 when the girlchild graduates from high school. :I did find out that I could get a GSL, up to 10K, but what other forms of loans, grants, and scholarships are out there for me? I have attended four colleges and I have been in the food service industry for five years now- so I think I can pretty well say in confidence that I do love the job. I now know what it is I want to do with my life, but I need help from graduates or any one with info. that will help me find the best path(and saving a little money wouldn't hurt either) to Culinary School. Thanks SOOO MUCH!! Cheers, Sharon
