: I am putting some serious thought into going to school at Le Cordon Bleu- Paris Campus, but I wanted to know what others have to say about the school. Most importantly, I need to know what it costs to live in Paris and what job opportunities there are for an American who is just learning French!?!? I did find out that I could get a GSL, up to 10K, but what other forms of loans, grants, and scholarships are out there for me? I have attended four colleges and I have been in the food service industry for five years now- so I think I can pretty well say in confidence that I do love the job. I now know what it is I want to do with my life, but I need help from graduates or any one with info. that will help me find the best path(and saving a little money wouldn't hurt either) to Culinary School. Thanks SOOO MUCH!!

I have also checked out going to Le Cordon Bleu. You can contact
the school and ask for schedules. They offer weekend programs
or programs that last a couple of weeks. If you try it for the
weekend course and see that you like it...then ask them all the
questions you need about getting hooked up there. Did you know
that there is also a Le Cordon Bleu in London? My personal suggestion
is to try it for the weekend. It may save you lots of money and
heartache if you get there and things don't turn out so well. I know
that they do have French Gastronomy courses and it is required that you
take French while you are in the school. If it's worth it for you,
I wish you the best of luck. Hope I helped!
