I've seen those pictures, my friend took all their courses, he repairs electronics now. From my perspective as someone who can do that work its a waste of time, the result isn't worth the bother. Other drawbacks are its very susceptible to humidity.
Wilton had some bad ideas.
Most bakers have specialties they are good at and prefer to do things that aren't going to gobble up hours of spare time.
The people who can and will do this work work from home and you can find them at this link below.
Many of them do the Wilton style cakes.
