I used to save my danish and croissant scraps from production. I'd drizzle this with either egg wash or melted butter, then a handful of apricot jam, some raisins and a good sprinkling of cinnamon sugar.
I chopped it right on the bench with a dough scraper till it pretty much resembled vomit. Spray loaf or pie tins,proof,bake,glaze and ice. Add chopped apples or bluberries or what have you. It's a very forgiving mixture and people were crazy for this.
