Hmmm...sounds messy. Heres my theory for what it's worth. I think you're gonna have to par bake the crust and do it more twards the done side cuz custard that shallow is gonna go fast. Skip the part where you put the pie in a crankin oven. I believe that is for the crusts benefit. I'd bake it 325/350 till the sides were set and the center barely jiggly I don't think you need any special recipe, your favorite will do and the one on the can is fine.
