: I need help!
: I don't know how to handle several of my repeat clients.
: I cater for many who are my accountant, lawyer, contractor, etc. Not ever have I asked for a discount, however, when one of them require my services, almost always, they want a bargain.
: I would like to say "I spent 12,000.00 with you last year and you are nit-picking over a seafood platter that is 300.00"! Why don't people think before they act. I am really annoyed. If I wanted to give away my food, I would go work at the local soup kitchen.
Please give advice before someone ends up wearing the Pate!!!

You aren't missing anything.
They just have a different mentality. We get hit up for everything.Donations right and left, hor d'oeuvre platters for 50 like they are going out of style.
People have this pre conceived notion that its easy to give away food, its been done for years, time and baked goods for charity, pot lucks, church functions, donuts and coffee to police, etc...
Only, they can't transfer that it's not a neighborly thing for us, IT'S OUR BUSINESS. I think that is what you need to make clear to them.
