I have owned and operated a BBQ business that specializes in catering for over 15 years. Recently my building was acquired by state to widen roadway. I thought I could continue catering services at a home kitchen but the local authorities informed me that my residential area wasn't zoned for a business that would require a cook house being built on the premises. Has anyone ever heard of such zoning? P.S.- I live in a secluded area by a neighbor who happens to be the mayor and wants more seclusion. (He's been trying to buy my property for years.) Is this legitimate zoning or is my neighbor pulling strings?
