Since you are going to be serving both together, I can give you one or the other, there the same recipe but one uses crab & one - shrimp, we take about 3# cr chez, 1.5# lump crabmeat (cleaned), minced vadilia onion, red & green peppers, add horseradish, sherry (lots), fresh lemon juice, dash of L&P, kosher salt & fr ground wh pepper, if too thick thin out w/ 1/2 & 1/2, bake in pyrex casserole & serve in round silver chafer....I like to use crostinis, toasted pita points, asapragus, parmesan crisps, for dipping or you could use crudite or party rye/pump.....for shrimp, we just add cooked diced shrimp meat, to same & instead of thining w/ 1/2 & 1/2, we boil down the shrimp shells & mire proix, and use this quick shrimp stock to thin out OR you could use a manufacutred shrimp base or lobster base to thin out.......just my thoughts
