I've always understood with a home-based business is you don't want to underprice yourself. You want to set your prices the same as Carl would when catering from his restaurant. I'm sure someday you have a goal of expanding the business and working out of a commissary or restaurant. If you set low prices based on the home business, you could have a difficult time of trying to raise prices when you move to a regular facility.
What state do you operate in? Here in California it is unlawful to operate any kind of food service estanblishment out of your home.
