: I bought my own linens, bringing me a step up the catering ladder. Do any of you own your own? How do you price them and do you charge for installation?
: I used them for a catering this week without charging for them because I was experimenting. Sure did make the table look expensive. Made me feel real good about my style and quality. :-)
: Looking for conversation here.

I own my table skirts... I price at 18.77 each for rental... i arrived at that price because the local rental company charges 20.50 for theirs.
I rent table cloths at 4.84 each... i dont own them, but i pay 1.75 each to rent from linen company, the rental company charges 8.00 each...
I always charge for extras.... i find that the client wants to hear the lowest price associated with the food.... then adding 295.00 for staff and 4.84 each for table cloths and .30 each for china
just makes good sense for them.... if they want to provide their own, they can and they are comforted to know that I am not charging them for it..... when you "build" it into the price, what do you do
when they say, "oh, I dont need your table cloths"? you then have to back it out.
I believe that it sounds better to say for 100 guests.... 7.84 for food, 198.00 staff, 4.84 table cloths, 2.32 for china rentals..
instead of 11.95 pp all inclusive..... i have won many bids on this kind of pricing...
