: I have restructured our sales rep contract several times and still feel that I am going nowhere. I would love to get your ideas

Please tell us what your current sales rep contract is.....

i recommend paying 7% on NEW business
and 3% on existing business....

new business is defined as anyone who you have never served or have not served in one year
it would become existing business after 6 months from the first job
i would pay commission on all sales the rep is responsible for .... no limit

this assumes that you (the owner) set the prices.....if they negotiate a lower price
with your approval, you can negotiate the commission....

but dont play games or be unfair in the least or you may lose a good sales rep

i would not pay any salary, just straight commission, and i would require the rep
be present for the event and work it.... ( pay them as an hourly for a productive position)
this works well in a small company.....
