I need to apply to a school before the fall semester begins. In the long run, will my going through a two year "tech" culinary program (as opposed to a four year program) have that much of an effect on my career as a chef? Also, would it benefit me to take this two year program and then transfer into one of the fancier "specialty schools," say like one of the ones in NY?
