A lot of foods make me timid to eat. Growing up I was not exposed to certain things and it affects my tastes. I am afraid my unwillingness to eat, or perhaps true dislike for the taste of certain things could hurt me in school. Can you learn to bear the taste of something and still duplicate it in class? Can you excell in other areas to make up for lack in another? I truly love to cook and want to learn to do so many things. I would hate for something like this to prevent me from reaching the top. Don't get me wrong, I will try a lot of things, but some, like brains, tongue, mussels, I have no desire to put it in my mouth. But one that most people love, I can do without, and that is lamb. I've had it a couple of times and just dont care for it. I will eat fish, just certain kinds. I read in an old cookbook "Through Europe With A Jug of Wine", Morrison Wood, the author says most people that don't like something probably haven't eaten it prepared properly. Do you think this is true? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
