I have sprayed chocolate a few times in my life, but don't know anything about the necessary equipment. Does anyone know where I can get an inexpensive spray gun and compressor for chocolate (I would prefer to buy it online)?
Pchef1, the Sears store....almost any spray gun will work.
You could try an artist spray gun, from an art store. Cause as you know, it's about the choc. blend and the tip
good luck.
Pchef,
Must agree with Chefspike. You can get a wagner paint gun at most hardware stores. They work well and cost a lot less than a real chocolate compressor and heater. The parts for these paint guns are fairly cheap as well, although I've used the same gun for over 7 years without having to replace any parts.
Just don't let your bakers get ahold of it and start using it to egg wash their goods! Tell them to get their own!
HaHaHa.....thats funny, damn bakers.
Does the wagner sprayer need a compressor? Someone told me that it didn't need one. If this is so, which model is the best?
THanks
ah,.... I think it comes with one.
but you only need a small one, unless your going to paint the shop.
then get a big one. LOL

Here's a website that sells the paintgun, it has a picture. You can buy these at any hardware store. It doesn't have a separate compressor but it's all a complete unit. It's hand held and isn't much larger than a large hair dryer.

I think the first website was incorrect. Maybe it expires. Here's another site that has a few more pictures.
