For making wedding cakes with pearl strands and individual loose pearls. Was wondering if such a product exists? It seems such a waste to be placing pearls onto a wedding cake and then having to pick them all off right before service. I will do a search to see what turns up.

d. I've never seen them if they do. I resently made them for a Mother's day cake. I used gum paste, found them to be very fast and easy to make. Just a thought...

Yes they do make them, but I can't remember where to order them from, I'll try to find for you. But I will warn you the are very expensive. It was easier just to use regular string pearls, and the edible ones I saw were trashy looking. Definately not worth the money.

D, there is now a pearl making mold you can purchase. It comes in two sizes. just press the fondant in a "pop" out a string of pearls.
