Anybody know of any good to excellent Pastry and Bake shops?
OR...Hotels or Rest's. with excellent Pastry Chefs?
Going to be in Denver, Colo. Springs, Lakewood.
(but please, no pastries that are flavored with aspirin, or goats hoofs, or engine oil, or robatusin, or some strange flavoring that does not belong in it, just good old classic european and American stuff)
Thanks,

HA! I laughed out loud at the robitussin... I could just see it, made into a gelee and stuffed into a jelly donut. It will clog your arteries while it cures your cough.

Goat Hoof.............now there a noble idea!!!!!
Hey Spike, you know the difference between kinky and pervert right?????
When you are kinky you only use the horns, when you are a pervert you use the whole goat!!!!!

I heard that Hart's Horn-or something like that was used in baking many years ago-before baking powder...
I think we call it ammonium carbonate today...it's still used to make really crispy cookies...smells
like ammonia when it bakes...so maybe your goat hooves are not so far off??? (At least make sure they wash them first...never know where those
darn goats have been stepping)
OK-now I have officially grossed myself out.

Manny, I don't get it.
Jelly donuts, yuk. what is that stuff in there? HAHA !. It can't be jelly.
that had to be a long time ago cause baking powder has been around for a long, long time.
ground up horn.
I don't trust goats. don't like them. they are a wierd animal.
But I guess Manny likes them or at least has known one.
which is also strange, and might explain his 4 wives. I don't know.

Chefspike, if you have time to get up to the mountains when your in Denver and want to go for a hike, send me an email and I'll show you some cool spots.

Thank You, thats a nice offer, I will. And I'll buy dinner, and then maybe you can direct me to a spa, where after our hike, I can die.
HaHaHa !!!
I should have some time behind me from quitting smoking so a good hike should do me some good.
I want to make my visit at the same time as a Red Wing hockey game, I have to look at when they are going to be there.
My friends up there live in lakewood, lakeville, whoville ?????...something, and i'm planning on asking them along, you are more than welcome to join us if you want.
Be forwarned.....I'm a BIG Red Wing fan, not crazy mind you. But kinda intense.

Winter Park is at 9,100ft and only about an hour and ten minutes from Lakewood.
