A new customer would like me to bake Maida Heatter's Budaphest Coffeecake -- does someone have that recipe in one of her books?
Thanks!

I have her chocolate dessert book, American Dessert book and a cookie book from her but none of the contained that recipe title.
She gives written decriptions/intro.'s to her recipes and maybe she describes one of them as a Budaphest coffeecake but doesn't title it as such? It's not so easy to look up a recipe in the back of her books.
Sorry, I did try.

I think I saw the Budapest Coffeecake recipe in Maida Heaters' "Book of Great Desserts". I made it years ago, and my scribbled notes don,t have any instructions.
Found on an envelope dated Dec. 3, 1982:
5-6 cups flour
1c. warm H2O
1 1/2 t. salt
1 T. dry yeast
3 T. white sugar
1/2 c. butter,melted
Bake @ 400 in well greased 10" springform
25-30 min.
layered with a nutty streusel, and I remember adding chopped up Callebaut to the streusel mix.
I do remember that it is an easy recipe.
