Thanks for the reply! however I do know that pastry chefs do make
these. Iv'e seen them at the ethnic pastry shops in New York City or on cookie trays at Bar Mitzvahs! From my understanding these are baked, cooled, stacked with jam , glazed and cut into bars and no more difficult than other pastries. Yes I do know the technique but I am lacking the recipe. Iv'e tried several on my own but haven't been satisfied with the results.
I'm sure these are probably a Christmas or perhaps ethnic holiday special and I know pastry chefs make far more difficult items than these!
