: Im new Culinary instructor looking at my courses and making some decsions on my objectives just curious how others do things. Also would like to know what resources are out there especially in the area of media to enhance my presentations. Or advice u can give me on what works or doesnt work.I teach Baking,Cake decorating,Meat Id,Fish, Menu Planning,Wine Apprecation, and Hot Foods Greetings Chef and welcome to the profession. As it is the start of the semester, I could not answer you any sooner. I have been teaching for 8 years now and would be happy to network with you. From the variety of your classes I would say that you are in a new program or a small school. One of the best resources for low cost to free support is the various marketing boards, Beef, Vegetables, Fruit etc. Many have web pages but it is best to find their mailing address and write to then on official school stationary. One summer I sent out about 80 inquires and recieved replies and material from about half of them. So for the tiem and stamps it was worth it. Not all the material is sutible for college level, but the good more then makes up for the fair. Keep Cooking, talk to you soon.
