: : : I'm taking the family to Kiawah Island in the middle of July and am looking for local Restaurant suggestions and the lowdown on the Kiawah Island Resort. Any info would be appreciated.

: : : Thanks

: George, My family likes to go to a place called Gilligan's which is off the highway on the way to Kiawah (about a 20 minute drive). Good seafood, inexpensive and family oriented. We found the restaurants on Kiawah to be a bit pricey and not very family friendly. If this is your first trip to Kiawah, don't miss the family party at Night Heron Park on Wednesday nights. It's a good time. Have fun in Kiawah. We'll be there this year in late May or June. Greer

Thanks for the note, We went last summer and had a great time. Your totally correct the restaurants were very pricey, which I don't mind if I feel I got what I paid for, but I have to go a little farther and say over pricey.

They were pretty good with the baby though.

The Night Heron Park get together's were a lot of fun.

Hope to go back someday, but i'll be cooking!

TTYL

George
