Kiawah is great... go right at the big shopping center (the big Pig after the Angel Tree... Bohicket and something)
and you will get to Charleston in less than 20 minutes... I don't
think I drive that fast! It should not take an hour to get there!
You don't need to worry about food anywhere near Charleston...
You couldn't possibly run out of new, fantastic restaurants in the average
length of vacation time...
