My 12 year old electric range just died and Im in need of a new range. I really hear that a gas range will give me greater control and is really the best way to cook. Im also considering a convection oven, which Ive read can save time and cooks very evenly and browns well. I guess Im in need of some advice on what would be the best start and what to buy. I can't afford a commercial range although I would LOVE one. Any advice? The bottom line is that I have 36 inches of space(width) and I really want a stainless steel model,gas with four burners. (GE, Jenn Air, and Frididare have nice stainless models) Convection or not? I thank you in advance for your replies!! Ann
