Hi Mark, you said "I would get frustrated
yell, screem and throw things."

I ask WHY? What does this solve? I've seen it happen so many
times especially with French cooks and a few North Americans.
All I can see is that all this does is destroy equipment, end
up causing an accident to a fellow worker and anyone working
around you losing respect for you. I'm not trying to put you
down , it's just that everytime something like this happens, I
ask the person "why did you do that" and they could never answer
me or give me a valid excuse for their actions. Yes I know it's hot,
everyone's tired from all the hours yet I still find losing control
like that so unprofessional and completely uncalled for. Maybe
it isn't loss of control but just putting on an act to get attention, I'm
not sure. Is it maybe that hate relation between cooks and wait staff ( not everyone)
The feeling that a cook works harder than a waiter/ress and they end up
richer at the end of the night.

Interested in your and all opinions.

Cheers
