Do you know the difference between a solicitor and a customer, of course but you failed to catch the solicitor disguised as a customer.
If they pay for a plate of food to buy the right to tell you to buy their product ..?

I had a guy callme once asking about everything on the menu, how is it served etc.
Finally he said he'd be coming for dinner and if he liked it he'd apply for the waiters job I had advertised in the paper, you should have told this bleepin salesman what I told this time wasting idiot.

You're instincts are good but you have to be more 'Johnny on the spot' . You coulda caught it quicker and exposed him.
Medalions or scallops , who cares. You kinda missed the point.
