: Bourbon-Pecan BBQ Sauce
: Sweat two onions (fine dice) in 1/2 pound butter
: Add 1/2 pound chopped pecans and heat through
: Deglaze with 1 pint good KY bourbon (Ancient Age is reasonable)
: Add 1/2 gallon commercial BBQ (Cattleman's is ok)
: Sweeten with dark brown sugar or better, Sorghum molasses
: Add heat with Cayenne pepper
: Simmer about an hour
: Use it to finish chicken, shrimp, chops or as an alternative to bottled steak sauce.
