Prepare for the worst, the owners are morons if they spent money to upgrade the decor and stuck the same name back on it(or close)
, they ought to be trying to distance themselves, not attaching themselves to the previous operation. It sounds like they don't want5 to let go. When we bought our business it was previously called QUICHE, I thought QUICHE ETC might be a neat play but realised people would assume it was the same crap again with a pretty bow on it. I dropped that dumb idea fast.
The problem is the owners and you can't change them.
Don't accept blame for what you can't control.
Sh*t floats uphill and thats that. Theres no shortage of work for hard working chefs, forget it and get on with your own future.
It kinda sounds like you're getting yourself over-involved and as you suspect...you'll get the blame.
