: : : Hello I am Head Chef in a Michelin rated restaurant in England.
: : : I have been asked to find out if anybody has come accross a piece of catering equipment called A PIZZELE IRON.
: : : The only thing we have to go on is that it is possibly something to do with caramalizing sugar.
: : : Hope someone can help
: : : Thank you

: : I *think* it is heated and dipped in waffle batter or some sotr of batter, turn it over and cook a few minutes then turn upside down and the waffle drops off.

: Thank you for the reply
: Could anyone please tell me where I can get A PIZZELE IRON FROM and what it actually looks like, how it works infact any other information about it.
: Thank You

I mentioned your mssg to someone last nite , you were looking for an iron for pizzele, I've seen them in almost every junk shop here (States), there must have been a time when everyone bought one but no-one uses them anymore, this person said "just look in any basement". They fell out of favor long ago.
Where are you working in the UK?, I'm in Boston but from Lancashire (Man united forever).!
