I can't stress the importance of getting some experience before School. Experienced gives a frame of reference for what is taught in schools. Working in the business before school also helps a person decide what area they want to concentrate on. (baking, pastry, Hot line). One last thought, experience gives a person a chance to back out of the idea. It can be a highly stressful job with long hours and sometimes little recognition.
But as you probably have seen by the post you have read it can be a very satisfying Vocation.
