Please, can somebody answer this asap? I'm making buttermilk coffeecakes for morning and foolishly I'm out of buttermilk would you believe?! I can't go out tonight to the store because it's snowing like crazy here.
I remember once reading somewhere you could add a small quantity of vinegar to milk to make a suitable buttermilk substitute.
Please, can somebody post the formula for making a buttermilk substitute? And do it in time for me to rescue the batter? Thanks in advance for any help.
