: I am looking for insurance companies that will insure caterers and all aspects of the business including vehicle fleet
Look in your yellow pages for commerical lines insurance coverage, most all insurance companies right commericial coverage, what you want is: General liability (to include completed operations, product liability, care, custody & control coverage & general), you'll need property coverage for your equipment, office equipment, supplies, ect and any leasehold improvements you make to a leased space, and to cover any damage you may or may not cause to a leased space or if you own then of course you need fire, ect...as for vehicle fleets, you need liability, comp & collision coverage for those vehicles that you wish to cover, "hired & non owned" auto liability & comp/collision, and general liability on vehicle operations...and most states require that you carry workemens comp also...... and if serving or distributing alcoholic beverages you need that coverage....some & most caterers carry a umbrella liability policy equal to about 3Xs your general liability limits....the limits we have are as follows: general 1,000,000, property, fire & theft, equal to the replacement value of your stuff, auto liability 1,000,000, workmens comp 500,000, and umbrella liability 3,000,000......just my thoughts......sam sears, cec
