I am a member of a city goverment police department with about (25) twentyfive vehicles currently in use our department has been
told that if we can't find a way to cut insurance costs our present 1- officer 1- car system will be cut to 4-officers 1-car
with the units seeing 24 hour service 7 days a week as each unit simply changing drivers. The argument we have made is simple. The units are for the most part high milage vehicles that simply won't hold up under 24 hour service and the insurance savings would be more than canceled out by the increase in repairs. If there is someone out there who can help me present a Fleet liability insurance package to our city goverment at a lower rate.
