Hi:
In a private club it is much different than a regular restaurant.
If the table is not ready we ask the member and guest to have a seat in the lounge, offer them drinks.
If half of the group is there either we asked them if they want to be seated or wait in the lounge. Offer them drinks.
If they persist and are rude we have to be honest and explain the situation, either the table is not ready or the party before have not left yet. We may buy them a round of drinks. In a Club you have to be very carefull how you treat a member,or a member can resign his or hers membership.The member is king, Some member are rude and some members are understanding.
