Where are you and how many Kentuckians will be there? Derby Day is a sacred event for us Kentuckians wherever we may be!!! Your menu sounds pretty good, you should serve Henry Bain sauce on the side with the tenderloin. Instead of curried fruit, make Ambrosia it is more traditional. The herb de Provence vin. would be good with the veggies. Burgoo is usually served with Western Kentucky Pork BBQ, which is the modern meat of choice to make it with. To make it truly authentic, you should have baked country ham with beaten biscuits, I have never been to a derby party that didn't serve it. I can answer most any question about derby parties, I have been to one every 39 years of my life, and catered many also. Let me know what you need, recipes, food sources, etc., I have a good collection of KY cookbooks also. DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME!!!!!!!!
