I am a banquet sous chef, a recently aquired position. It seems every place that I go everyone is always giving me grief because of my age!! Im 23 and have been in kitchens since the age of 13. My uncle was a chef and I grew up in the industry. I have a 4yr culinary education and I love to cook. It just seems that wherever I go People think less of you because of your age. sorry to say but ive seem some older chefs not knowing nearly as much as I do. But I know im still not even light years away from where I want to be with my knowledge or abilty that is no reason to give the young chefs grief! any chefs out there have any suggestions for young chefs like myself please post a message thanks!!!!
