Ok, if you are a pastry chef then cooking should be a simple change over, it must have taken me all of 6 months to get most of it down, working with very good chefs.
I found cooking to be boring and switched back and forth just to keep myself amuzed.
All chefs should get a foundation in pastry and baking, its half the battle.
If you decide to stay with cooking you'll be a much better chef in the end.
Theres more demand for chefs but theres not many good pastry chefs around.
I did it just for curiosity and working as pastry chef you get to work in the best kitchens.
