: I taught @ the Art Inst in Atlanta a very good school. I went to the CIA, if i had to do it all over again I would get a degree in computer science. Kitchens are hot the hours suck and conditions are pretty poor. Think hard, think twice. most of the people I graduated with are no longer in the profession.

If you can't take the heat, get of the kitchen.Professional chefs don't
devaluate our profession.I've been a professional chef for many years
now.The hours and employement is ONES CHOICE.If a person knows how
to delegate and operate a restaurant, you're half way there.Working
in food service,a person needs passon for creating food, not money.
Money, will come when a person develop the skills to make a profit.
Being a professional chef takes hard work, education, perceptiveness,
and the LOVE OF FOOD!!
