Like it or not, they are invited guests like the rest of us. They have manners. They won't say anything. So, the bay area Yankee(from here) is in S.F. and cateringkid is more north, but in your backyard. I don't know who else. Not to many people give where they are exactly, Panini did now look whats happening. LOL. And what is your job or duties, Chef?, hot, cold?
Oh, and welcome.
Rocket Peace.
PS. In LA, A couple Angels liked Frangipan, fruit, glaze, they had seconds.Thats a good thing.

Slave Girl,
Like the name.
So................any meaning behind it?
By Slave Girl on Friday, August 31, 2001 - 09:01 pm: Edit |
Chef Travis mentioned me on here a little
while ago, he wasn't very happy with me. But
that is water under the bridge now.
I'm not deserving of the chef title yet by any
means. I am a computer geek for my primary
job, working two or three nights a week at an
upscale Italian place in San Francisco for free.
I am currently on brief hiatus, as the place
understandably won't pay for my worker's
comp, etc. But I can pay my own way , and
should have the money saved by the end of
next month, and then I can go back. I work in
the kitchen and do whatever is asked. I
absolutely love it, and am learning a huge
amount. I hope to add on some more days of
work as time at my full time job allows. I have
no previous experience besides
experimenting and practicing at home with
books and bunches of onions and potatoes. I
assume I know nothing and do what I am told,
though I ask many questions along the way.
I'm getting burned out on the tech sector, I fell
into it by chance and cooking is the first thing
I've come across that I WANT to do. To what
end, I don't know yet. Which is why I am in a
kitchen learning and trying to find out. I'm
working hard but having a fabulous time while
doing it.
So that's my story. Hope it doesn't piss too
many of you off. Some folks have problems, it
seems, with what I am doing. As long as
where I work doesn't have a problem, then I
don't care much if others do, but it is always
nice to illicit a pleasant reaction to what I am
doing, opposed to being told I'm an upstart
who is trying to do everything my way as the
only way. That is hardly the situation. =)
I should be hanging out in the wannabe
section, huh. *grin*

you just keep doing what you think is best.
its what we all do, in the end.
why would anyone have a problem with that.
its harder to switch careers these days.
I know, I've done it a lot in the last couple of years.
and going to do it again here soon.
if people have a problem with you ,then thats on their side of the street. let them deal with it.
good luck.
Peace.

LOL!!! Tricia Yearwood. Country singer. Got a lot of help from Garth Brooks when she was starting out. Sang back up for him on his first couple of albums I think. Well she is playing a small venue in No. Cal. Small town civic center. Hmmm.
