Actually the higher cost is time, seeing as your inquiries are
unsolicited you shouldn't expect anyone to waste time on a negative reply.
A phone call follow up (by you!)is always better than waiting for them to reply.
You need a thicker skin to do business in the USA, I was born and raised in the UK and know what you mean
but this type of thing has to be expected here in the US, it doesn't mean they are rude.
